Leaders to be grilled on Walsall Leather Museum deal and anti-social behaviour at public meeting
Bosses at Walsall Council will be quizzed on ten issues at the next public meeting.
The questions cover topics such as the Leather Museum deal, criticism of the council’s planning committee and antisocial behaviour in Darlaston.

Linda Boys, a key Leather Museum campaigner, is one of four members of the public to submit questions.
Linda will ask leaders to explain why plans to close the museum at its current site and move it to an unknown town centre location have not been consulted upon, she also asks about costs of the scheme.
Elaine Williams, chair of Walsall and Bloxwich Reform UK branch, asks what recommendations have been taken on board from the recent peer planning review.
The assessment last year advised a ‘fundamental overhaul’ of the council’s planning committee.
Shokt Fazal will ask a question about food hygiene ratings in the Pleck ward, and Scott Simmons requests data about the new Article 4 direction to tackle the number of Houses of Multiple Occupation.
Six questions are being asked by councillors at the authority, all from four labour members.
Councillor Simran Cheema, ward member for Willenhall South, will ask about data regarding fly-tipping, and orders issued to private landlords over poor maintenance.
Councillor Matt Ward, leader of the labour group at Walsall Council, will ask about enforcement of nuisance charity collection bins which attract fly-tippers.
Councillor Lucie Nahal, ward member for Bentley and Darlaston North, calls on the council to support a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) on King Street, Darlaston, to tackle antisocial behaviour.
She also asks how Walsall’s share of £240m for pothole repairs from the West Midlands Combined Authority will be spent in the borough.
Finally, Councillor Michael Coulson, Bloxwich West, will ask about parking fines from the Waterfront Car Park in the town centre.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6pm, Thursday, February 26, at Walsall Council House.
