Traffic brought to standstill after collision on M6 near Walsall
Traffic on a busy motorway section near Walsall was brought to a standstill by a collision.
A section of the nearside lane of the M6 southbound between Junctions 10A and 10 was closed after the collision, which saw a car hit the central barrier.
The crash, which happened around 1.29pm today, saw fuel spilled onto the motorway.
There were delays of around 30 minutes as officers from Highways England attended the scene and moved the car onto the hard shoulder, with the road cleared by 3pm.
A spokesman for Highways England said: "Officers from Highways England were alerted to a crash on the M6 Southbound between Junctions 10A and 10 around 1.29pm.
"They found a car which had hit the inside barrier and had leaked diesel, so after clearing away the diesel, they moved the car onto the hard shoulder.
"There were no injuries at the scene and the road was fully reopened at 3pm."
