Man charged after teenager sexually assaulted and robbed in Walsall
A man has been charged after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted and robbed on a canal towpath in Walsall.
The 14-year-old victim was grabbed by the throat on the pathway off Green Rock Lane, Bloxwich, at 3pm on Friday.
The teenager was forced to the ground – with her attacker escaping with her mobile phone, bank card and airpods.
William Binsley, of Bloxwich Road South in Willenhall, has been charged over the attack and has been remanded in custody.
The 43-year-old is set to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
