Shifnal hotel defends its wedding facilities after mother of the bride slams 'filthy, dirty' rooms
A Shropshire country hotel has defended its wedding facilities after the mother of a bride slammed the cleanliness of the rooms.
Sammy Gaffney said the state of the rooms at the Haughton Hall Hotel and Leisure Club in Shifnal had marred her daughters wedding last month.
She said the room she found herself in was full of “black mould” and “dirty”.
She said: “The wedding itself was lovely but the room I was filthy dirty and full of black mould. I complained at the time and they said they would give me another room, but this was as bad if not worse.
“The duvets were soiled, net curtains black around the seams and were ripped. There was black mould in the corners as well as around the bath.
