Appeal for witnesses after vehicle driven 'the wrong way' along Staffordshire town's high street

Police are appealing for two people who witnessed a car being driven the wrong way along a road in the centre of Stone to get in touch.

The appeal comes after the driver of a blue Volkswagen Golf failed to stop for officers on Redhill Road in the Staffordshire town before being driven the wrong way along Stone High Street.

A man has been charged in connection with the incident, which occurred just before 6pm on August 19. 

Officers are keen to speak to two pedestrians in the area at the time and are urging them to come forward.
