An application has been submitted to Stafford Council seeking permission in principle for the development on land east of Old House Farm at Lodge Lane, Woodseaves.

A planning statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposed scheme lies at the edge of Woodseaves, a key service village. The proposal is for not more than nine detached market dwellings on the eastern strip of land to be subdivided from the ownership of Old House Farm.

“The intent is to create a modest residential addition to Woodseaves while retaining Old House Farm on its remaining curtilage. The site area [is] less than one hectare [2.5 acres] and the proposed buildings floor space to be created is less than 1,000 sq m.

“A new access point will be created on Riley Lane and laid out to current standards. While detailed design is reserved, each dwelling is envisaged as a family home – indicatively three to four bedrooms – with front and rear gardens, on-plot parking for at least two cars, secure cycle storage and EV charging.”

Below are other planning applications published or validated by Staffordshire councils in recent days.
