Attempted murder arrest after woman injured in Stafford flat fire
A man from Stafford has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a fire at a block of flats in the town this morning.
Staffordshire Police has arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following a fire at a block of flats in Milton Grove, Stafford, early this morning (Wednesday).
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service firefighters were called to tackle a 'small fire' on the sixth floor of the building at about 4.30am, and a woman in her 40s taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.
The 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning.
