Work begins on rebuilding fire-ravaged storage firm in Stafford

Work has started on the rebuilding of a storage firm that what was destroyed in a large blaze.

Work has started on the site where Goodwins Removals is being rebuilt.

Diggers are on site at Drummond Road, Stafford, where Goodwins Removals was left gutted in the fire to Global Hygiene next door in March last year.

The company gained planning permission to rebuild in February this year from Stafford Borough Council.

The 940 sq metre storage and distribution unit is expected to accommodate the 15 employees which were based their prior to the fire.

It is not known when the facility is set to be up and running again, meanwhile Goodwins is operating out of its premises at Beacon Business Park.

The Express & Star contacted the company but they were not in a position to comment on the development at this stage.
