The unsung commuter town that offers a quiet respite away from West Midlands hubs Wolverhampton and Birmingham
If you're working in the Wolverhampton area, we recommend this village if you're looking to commute into the big city for work and enjoyment, and be able to return back to a village for quiet respite.
One thing is for sure, and that is Birmingham and Wolverhampton are both not known for being quiet hubs in the West Midlands.
For sure, they're great places to visit if you're a fan of bustling city centres, vibrant nightlife and plenty of endless activities to partake in. That's part of the reason, as to why so many people choose to flock to these West Midlands hubs.
However, for some, they'd like to separate work and play, and choose to spend their days in Wolverhampton for work then would like to travel back home to a scenic spot in the West Midlands.
One such spot that is nestled rather closely to both Wolverhampton and Birmingham, that's a perfectly situated place in the middle is Wombourne.
For many, the village, is a lovely change as it has a lovely village feel, as it has plenty of medieval roots as it meanders from the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.
The village is located 17 minutes away from Wolverhampton by car and is 38 minute drive time away from Birmingham.
