Lorry driver injured in crash on Staffordshire A-road taken to hospital
A lorry driver involved in rush-hour crash on a main road near Lichfield was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man was hurt when the vehicle struck the central barriers on the A38 carriageway in Swinfen near Lichfield shortly before 6pm on Wednesday (March 18).
There were delays in the area as a result.
Staffordshire Police said: "We were called to a single vehicle-collision in Lichfield just before 6pm on Wednesday, March 18. When officers arrived they found that a lorry had collided with the central reservation on the A38 in Swinfen."
"The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital for treatment."
West Midlands Ambulance Service crews also attended the scene.
At the time National Highways West Midlands posted on X that traffic was being held on the A38 southbound near Lichfield following a crash involving a single vehicle and that drivers should expect delays.
The road was reopened in both directions later that same evening.
