The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews were in attendance at around 7.30am today (February 15) at the leisure centre, in Curborough Road, Lichfield for around 90 minutes.

The nature of the incident is not known but it is not thought to have involved a fire.
Shortly after the centre re-opened a post on the Lichfield Leisure Centre Facebook page said: "Following a short closure earlier this morning, we can confirm that we are now back open as normal.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience. We look forward to welcoming you back."
The centre has been approached for further information.
