The 30 one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes were some of the fastest to sell in 2025 for the Staffordshire-headquartered housebuilder.

The 2.1-acre Sandbrook development, close to Lichfield Trent Valley, comprises 19 open market properties and 11 affordable homes delivered to Trent & Dove Housing. Construction took 15 months, with all homes matched with buyers ahead of the build programme.

The three- to five-bedroom open market houses sold for between £350,000 to £850,000, consisting of a range of semi-detached and executive detached styles constructed with traditional brick and render elevations.

The 10 house designs for the private homes range from 880 to 2,381 sq ft, catering to a wide range of buyer profiles, including first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers.

Paul Morrisey, Cameron Homes’ operations director, said: “We are thrilled to have concluded the construction and sales for our Sandbrook development in such an efficient time frame. Streethayis such a popular location, due to the walkability into the centre of Lichfield, and the convenience of having such a well-connected mainline train station so close by. The Ofsted-outstanding rated Streethay Primary School and a range of local amenities are also only a short walk from the site.

“The 19 open market homes sold out ahead of the build programme in only six months and it has been really rewarding to see our customers move in and make themselves at home.

”The site was allocated for residential development in Lichfield District Council’s adopted local plan.

Cameron Homes appointed Staffordshire-based White Ridge Architecture to design and submit a detailed planning application, which was approved in March 2024.

The five-star HBF housebuilder began work on site after the discharge of planning conditions and finalisation of the S106 obligations.

Lewis Brazier, head of production for Cameron Homes, said: “It always gives us a great sense of satisfaction to deliver high quality family homes so close to our head office in Chasetown – and in an area where so many colleagues and valued members of our supply chain live.”

The homes at Sandbrook have been constructed to achieve a high EPC rating, ensuring residents can significantly lower their carbon footprint and benefit from energy savings. Hive thermostats, electric vehicle car chargers and high performance solar PV panels are installed as standard. Stylish fitted kitchens feature integrated Bosch or Electrolux appliances. Bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms have contemporary white sanitary ware, with Porcelanosa floor and wall tiles.

Cameron Homes also delivered ecological enhancements to increase the biodiversity of the site. A new sustainable drainage system has created a diverse range of flora and fauna, actively encouraging new habitats. Bat bricks and birdboxes were also installed within the majority of the 30 properties.
