Man dies following Christmas Eve house blaze in Staffordshire
A man died following a house fire in Cannock on Christmas Eve.
Green Staffordshire Police were called to the scene in Suthard Way, in Pye Green, Cannock, at 8.40am on Wednesday, December 24 following reports of a house fire.
Officers were assisted by colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Sadly, a short time later, a man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene off Pye Green Road.
Staffordshire Police said that the man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, with inquiries continuing alongside members of the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
A force spokesperson said: "A man has sadly died following a house fire.
"We were called at 8.40am on Wednesday (24 December) to Suthard Way following reports of a house fire.
"Colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene. Sadly, a short time later, a man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
"Next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time. The death is not being treated as suspicious. Our inquiries are continuing alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service."
