Work on highways project in Cannock set to get under way
A £115,000 highways project in Cannock is due to begin on Monday.
Highways crews will be working on the eastbound carriageway of the A5190 Lichfield Road, between Devon Road and Eastern Way, to resurface the road, replace ironwork where necessary and repair drains.
The work, which will take around five days to complete weather permitting, means the road will have to be closed to ensure the safety of crews. The diversion route will be clearly signed.
Residents will still be able to gain access through the closure, as well as emergency services.
Crews are scheduled to work overnight on Thursday to complete the resurfacing of the road, between 7pm and 6am.
