The council's Economic Scrutiny Committee is due to discuss plans surrounding the Prince of Wales Theatre's inclusion within the regeneration programme's 'red line' for demolition.

It comes following the council's announcement last month that the theatre would be included in regeneration plans for demolition.

The theatre closed its doors in February last year, with the council voting against a community transfer bid in September last year.

A protest against the decision to demolish the theatre is expected to be held at 5.15pm ahead of the meeting, which starts at 6pm in the council chamber in the civic suite.
