Buses diverted after 'emergency services-led incident' in Burntwood
A bus route has been diverted in Burntwood due to an emergency services incident.
National Express West Midlands warned of diversions to its regular services following an crash on the Swan Island in Burntwood.
The company said at 4.08pm today (July 31) that the number 8 service would be diverting via Chase Road and Norton Lane.
A statement on X said: "Due to an emergency service lead incident at Swan Island, Burntwood, service 8 will be diverting in both directions via Chase Road and Norton Lane.
"We apologise for any disruption to your journey."
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said that two ambulances were sent to the scene following reports of a crash.
A WMAS spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving two cars on Lichfield Road in Burntwood at 3.29pm and sent two ambulances to the scene."
West Midlands Police has been approached for comment.
