'Delays expected' following crash on M6 southbound in Staffordshire
Traffic is being held on the M6 southbound in Staffordshire following a crash.
National Highways West Midlands posted an update on X shortly after 5pm on Thursday, February 26 reporting that two lanes were blocked following the collision.
The incident has caused traffic to be held between junction 15 at Stoke-on-Trent and junction 14 at Stafford.
Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service are at the scene, and there is roughly three miles of traffic building up on route.
A spokeswoman from Staffordshire Police said: "We are currently at the scene of a single-vehicle collision on the M6 southbound.
"Officers were called at 4.40pm today (Thursday 26 February) following reports that a car had collided with the central reservation between junctions 15 and 14.
"Officers are at the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service. A driver and a passenger in the car are being treated by paramedics at the scene."
West Midlands Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
