Two lanes closed on northbound M6 in Staffordshire after crash involving multiple vehicles
Two lanes have been closed on the M6 northbound between Cannock and Stafford after a road traffic collision.
The crash earlier today (February 19) involved "a number of vehicles", police said.
Staffordshire Police and National Highways traffic officers have been on the scene between Junction 12 at Cannock and Junction 13 at Stafford assisting recovery crews.
Congestion has been building in the area and anyone planning to use the motorway is advised to allow for extra time in their journeys.

A Staffordshire Police spokesowman said: "We were called at 11.10am today to the M6 northbound between junctions 12 and 13, following reports of a collision.
"A number of vehicles were involved. No injuries were reported. Officers attended and left the scene shortly before midday.
"The incident was left in the care of Highways."
West Midlands Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
