Developer reports surge in enquiries for million pound homes in Staffordshire village
Housebuilder Cameron Homes has reported a threefold increase in enquiries for its new development of eight large executive homes in the East Staffordshire village of Yoxall since the start of the year.
Priced from £750,000 to £1.25 million, the detached homes which form the Octara Court development are at various stages of construction, with three already sold off-plan.
Located off Bond End in the centre of the historic village, the development is designed around a central courtyard and surrounded by open fields. The substantial three and four-bedroom homes range in size from 1,862 to 2,647 sq ft, with features including a ground floor study, boot room, multiple en-suites and gallery style landing plus solar panels, air-source heat pumps and underfloor heating.

The homes at Octara Court, which is eight miles from Lichfield, will be ready to move into during the summer, with the whole development due to complete later this year.

The design approach for the development is inspired by heritage barns and reflects the traditional homes found locally in Yoxall village, featuring pitched roofs, overhanging eaves and casement windows. Car parking is provided on plot, via driveways and garaging.
The homes at Octara Court are designed to a high EPC rating to ensure future residents can significantly lower their carbon footprint and benefit from energy savings. Vaillant air source heap pumps, electric vehicle car chargers and high performance solar PV panels are all installed as standard, with the option to upgrade to battery storage to maximise renewable energy usage.
