Former journalist's novel republished
A book by a former journalist-turned author has been made available in hardback for the first time.
Mistress Magic by Janet Lee, which is set in and around Lichfield, has been re-launched by Kindle Book Publishing.
The semi autobiographical novel, about life in a rock band in the 1980s, features a twist of magic, the paranormal and a sexy romance. It tells the story of Janine, a teacher with a taste for leather mini-skirts and thigh-length boots. She is also the lead singer of Mistress, a band which encounters strange goings-on at their performances. The novel also contains the band’s original song lyrics.
Janet, whose career in newspapers featured a freelance stint on the Express & Star, said: “I am so pleased to have a hardback version of Mistress Magic. I can’t wait for readers to meet the character sand hope they love them as much as I do.
"Readers seem to enjoy a story where they recognise the locations and can identify with some of the characters," she added.
The follow-up novel to Mistress Magic, called In Search Of Dion, is also available from Amazon, in paperback and Kindle versions. It is also set in towns and villages in and around Lichfield.
Also on Kindle is Saturday Rock Dog – Janet’s fun story about a dog who loves rock music. Janet, from Norton Canes, has also written three biographies. All of her books are available on Amazon.
