Warning over harmful 'online challenges' in Staffordshire
Police chiefs in Staffordshire have urged parents to keep an eye on their children amid a surge in "dangerous" online challenges.
Officials made the plea after a series of posts across social media which could harm youngsters' "wellbeing and safety".
Now they have urged parents to remind their children to only talk to people they know and trust online.
A spokesman for the force said: "We’ve received reports in Staffordshire of online challenges appearing across social media – encouraging young people to participate in potentially dangerous challenges that could compromise their wellbeing and safety."
Call Staffordshire Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
