Driver spotted hitting 142mph on M6
A warning has been issued after a driver was spotted hitting 142mph on the M6 in Staffordshire.
Officers from the Central Motorway Police Group made the discovery on Sunday.
They said: "Unbelievable speed on the M6.
"We appreciate the road network is quieter but an accident at these speeds would have devastating consequences.
"This driver was delivering a new prestige vehicle to a customer and has previous speeding convictions in 2018 and 2019.
