Cheers! Black Country Wetherspoon pub in line for £177k revamp - and where you can grab a pint for 99p
Workers at a historic Black Country public house may soon benefit from proposals to improve facilities behind the scenes to the tune of almost £180,000.
Wetherspoon's wants to rearrange the back rooms at the Grade II building known as The Court Of Requests in Church Street in Oldbury town centre to create better changing rooms for the staff.
If the plan gets listed building consent in the new year the company is aiming to shell out £177,533 on the project which will not include any work in the bar area apart from installation of extra glass racks.
Company bosses have lodged an application to Sandwell Council to re-organise the earmarked area and expect a decision to be made in the new year.
