Traffic moving slowly on M6 southbound after vehicle breakdown near Wednesbury
Traffic is moving slowly on the M6 southbound near Wednesbury after a broken down car caused significant delays.

National Highways West Midlands reported that a car had broken down in lane three of the M6 southbound near junction nine at Wednesbury shortly before 3.20pm on Friday, February 6.
Delays of up to 30 minutes were predicted before the vehicle was moved to the hard shoulder, which happened around 3.45pm.

All lanes are now open on the motorway, with five miles of slow-moving traffic needing to be released.
