"The car sales business is now seeking to expand operations to include the sale of higher-value cars alongside budget vehicles," said Mr Shah.

"The proposed extension to create a car showroom is crucial to the growth of the business and will enable this long-established enterprise to continue operating and thriving in the modern economy."

The 4,189 sq ft building would also include a mezzanine floor providing office space and a small waiting area for customers. A turntable area will make it easier for cars to be brought in and out of the double-height showroom.

"The proposed scheme will revitalise this brownfield site, providing it with a new and vibrant purpose," said Mr Shah.

"It will enhance the existing character of the area by creating a fresh identity and a much-needed landmark at this corner plot.

"Additionally, we believe that the scheme will inspire and encourage high-quality design in other developments within Wednesbury and the wider West Midlands area.

"Our intention is to create an environment that not only serves the existing business but also promotes the health and well-being of those who use, occupy, and pass by the building."

The proposals will now be considered by Sandwell Council planners.
