Major disruption on the M6 in the Black Country
There was major disruption on the M6 in the Black Country on Thursday afternoon due to what was described as a "carriageway defect."
The incident occurred on the northbound motorway between Junction 9 for Wednesbury and Junction 10 for Walsall.
Lanes 3 and 4 of four were closed, causing major traffic disruption.
Local roads were also impacted including Wood Green Road & Bescot Road, according to West Midlands Roads.
There were delays of up to 45 minutes, according to National Highways.
