'I feel absolutely lost without it': Singer Amy Lou robbed of sentimental diamond during Carnival in Rio de Janeiro
Black Country Britain's Got Talent star Amy Lou Smith feels "absolutely lost" after a cherished diamond was stolen from her necklace at Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
Tipton-born Amy Lou said she is "absolutely fine, but devastated" after the "sentimental" diamond, which was given to her by her eldest brother, was stolen on a visit to Rio de Janeiro.
The 2023 Britain's Got Talent (BGT) finalist was visiting the Brazilian city this week having been performing on a cruise ship.
She said that she has never had a "bad experience" in her years of performing on ships.

In a Facebook post, the singer said the incident occurred while she and fellow performers were visiting the famous Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, which started on Friday (February 13).
She said: "It happened so quickly.
"I have a diamond necklace that my eldest brother purchased for me the week before I went to perform the semi-finals on BGT.
"There was so much meaning behind the diamond that I have never let it leave my neck since I had it."
The singer said that following a "struggle and a fight", the diamond in the necklace was taken from her neck.
"They must have been watching me for a while, it's a small diamond.
"I've never had anything expensive like that in my life, so I cherish it every single day. I feel absolutely lost without it now.
"He was a true professional. The necklace is still on my neck, but only the diamond is gone.
"I'm absolutely devastated. I know it could have been worse, I could have been stabbed, and it's only jewellery - but it's just proper devastated me."
Amy Lou's team said the singer is currently on her way home.
