Tipton drug-dealing addict gets second chance after kicking the habit and working as a waiter

A Tipton drug dealer turned waiter who was arrested with crack, heroin and a knife has avoided jail after claiming he was forced into an abortive life of crime.

After being spotted by police in Tipton on August 30 last year, Riaz Khahar was chased into Anderson Close where he was arrested.

Searching Khahar, of Park Street, Tipton, police officers found crack, heroin, £425 cash, and a large knife with an orange handle.

Khahar, 25, pleaded guilty to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing a knife in a public place and was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday (November 4).
