In pictures: Black Country struck by thunderstorm after days of sunshine
Thunder and lightning has clapped across the skies over the Black Country today (May 21), despite the sunny start to the morning.
Express & Star photographer Tim Sturgess was out and about in Tipton as the skies turned grey and rain began to pour this afternoon.
His pictures show cars driving through large puddles that quickly emerged on the roads and residents ducking for cover under their umbrellas.
