'I’ve lost my mom, I’ve lost my world' - Heartbroken son pays tribute to mom killed in Smethwick crash
The family of the woman who died after being struck by a car in Smethwick have paid tribute to her.
Baljit Kaur was struck by a car on Thimblemill Road, Smethwick shortly before 9.30pm on Thursday (August 28) and tragically died at the scene.
The family of the 62-year-old woman, who was a pedestrian in the incident, have now paid tribute to her, saying she worked as a carer, and always put others before herself.
Her son Daninder said: “I’ve lost my mom, I’ve lost my world.”

The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving and has now been charged.
Erjon Aliaj appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday (30 August) and has been remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing next month.
West Midlands Police have confirmed the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with any information to get in touch.
