Karl Gallagher murder trial: Jury deliberations begin
Jury deliberations in the trial of man accused of murdering a 31-year-old man outside a Black Country shopping centre have started today.
The jury sitting at Wolverhampton Crown Court retired to consider their verdict shortly after 2.15pm on Wednesday, following the trial which got underway last week.
Karl Gallagher was knifed in the chest outside West Cross Shopping Centre, in Smethwick, on the afternoon of April 26 last year.
More from the trial:
Tyrelle Harris, 20, of Helvellyn Way, West Bromwich, has denied murder but admits carrying an article with a bladed point.
Prosecutors say Harris accepts stabbing Mr Gallagher but denies murdering him.
The jury had heard how the two men confronted one another at a Smethwick shopping centre, before Harris pulled out a flick knife. Mr Gallagher died after receiving a stab wound to his chest.
