Crash on M6 leaves lanes closed and miles of congestion

A motorway closed following a crash near Great Barr this afternoon.

National Highway West Midlands said the M6 has been closed at junction seven on the northbound carriageway, but two lanes have since reopened.

Drivers are being warned to allow extra time if travelling in the area.

There are delays of 60 minutes and around seven miles of congestion from junction five.
