The initiative saw members of the mosque congregation and the wider Cradley Heath community come together in the weeks leading up to Ramadan.

Supporters donated non-perishable food items and essential toiletries, with the shared aim of beginning the sacred month through an act of kindness and service to neighbours in need.

All contributions were delivered directly to the food bank, where they will be distributed to individuals and families across the Black Country who are struggling amid the rising cost of living.

Representatives from the mosque thanked everyone who took part, describing the response as a testament to the strong sense of community spirit in Cradley Heath.

They confirmed the collection will not be a one-off, with further charitable drives planned throughout the year as part of an ongoing commitment to supporting local causes.
