Free parking for Christmas shoppers in Sandwell's town centre car parks
Shoppers will be able to park for free at Sandwell Council’s town centre car parks on all Saturdays in December.
As the high streets ready themselves for the busiest time of the year, Sandwell Council has announced free parking at town centre car parks across the whole weekend.
Time limits on short stay car parks still apply. Sunday parking is already free in the council’s town centre car parks.
The free parking does not include Sandwell Valley car parks, privately run car parks and on-street parking bays.
Councillor Keith Allcock, Sandwell Council's cabinet member for environment and highways, said: “This will support town centre shopping during December, which is the most important trading month of the year. We encourage everyone to support our local shops and businesses.”
The Saturdays in December are the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. More details can be found here.
