Police hunt for man who stole £8,000 worth of jewellery at knifepoint from couple in Oldbury

West Midlands Police are appealing for information after gold jewellery was stolen from a couple at knife point.

The pair were walking along Dudley Road East, in Oldbury, at 9.10pm on Friday, September 12 when they were approached by a man who pulled out a knife and demanded the woman hand over her gold jewellery.

The suspect took £8,000 worth of jewellery including bangles and a necklace and walked away towards the Shinwell Crescent area.

The man remains in custody as police continue their enquiries

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, of a stocky build, and was wearing a black hoodie, black gloves, and a distinctive pink face mask at the time of the incident. He is also said to have a Birmingham accent.
