Former government minister attends charity luncheon in Stourbridge
Pedmore Sporting Club held a celebrity luncheon with former minister, journalist and now clergyman Reverend Jonathan Aitken as guest of honour.
Ninety-four members and guests gathered for the event at Stourbridge Golf Course.

Reverend Aitken's varied career includes extensive media involvement and key roles - Secretary of State for Defence and also Chief Secretary to the Treasury - in Margaret Thatcher’s government.
He was later ordained as a priest and served as part-time chaplain at HMP Pentonville.
During the luncheon, Reverend Aitken shared stories from his life and took questions from guests.
He also received donations from Pedmore Sporting Club for two of his charities, Change to Change, and Aitken Christian Services.
Television presenter Nick Owen gave a vote of thanks and recalled how the speaker had given him his first start as a TV presenter for Yorkshire Television many years ago.
The event was attended by 94 Pedmore Sporting Club members and guests and a cheque for £4,000 was presented to the Pedmore Sporting Club Trust.
Pedmore Sporting Club was founded in Stourbridge in 1970, has 100 members, mostly based in the Black Country and West Midlands, and has raised approaching £2 million for charities in the area.
