Stourbridge slimming group weighs in with kind gift
Kind-hearted members of a Stourbridge slimming group are helping lighten the load for struggling families this Christmas.
Some 30 members from the Slimming World group have spent the last four weeks collecting piles of tinned and non-perishable foods to help families in need over the festive period.

The mound of groceries, which slimmers took to Wollaston Village Hall where the group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 11am, has now been delivered to Black Country Foodbank.
The generous collection and delivery was organised by member Pam Stevenson who wanted to do something to help others this Christmas.Slimming World Consultant Marie Hounslow said: "I'm extremely proud of my members for their support and generosity in donating to the amazing work of Black Country Foodbank."
Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of three days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. A spokesman said: "The services we provide have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them an important breathing space at a time of great need."
