Work on bridge in Staffordshire is on track for January finish
Staffordshire County Council says work to strengthen a bridge in Enville is making good progress and is set to finish next month.
The installation of a reinforced concrete saddle on Morfe Mill Bridge is nearing completion - the structure sits on Morfe House Lane
The project, which started in October, involves installing the saddle and new parapets and undertaking brickwork repairs and repointing to extend the bridge’s lifespan. It is expected to finish in mid January.

It also includes to work to protect the bridge against scour, which happens when fast-moving water washes away material from around a bridge’s foundations, thus weakening them.
