Weekly meditation classes in the heart of Stourbridge aimed at people aged 50+ but open to all
In the modern world we all face so much stress and can lose touch with our own inner peace - and that is why Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen hosts a weekly meditation class.
The class, held every Friday from 12.15pm to 1pm at the Elton Centre, St John’s Road, Stourbridge, is open to all ages, but is particularly beneficial to the charity’s target audience of those aged 50+ as it is chair-based.
Held by the well-respected holistic Bluebell and Boo, the sessions focus on different forms of meditation including guided, sound bath, drumming and crystal healing. There is no need for any previous experience as the group is beginner friendly.

New attendees can enjoy the first week free as an introduction/taster, with subsequent weeks costing £4.50. Payment is on a weekly, no-commitment basis.
David Harbach, chair of trustees, said: “Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen host many activities at our Elton Centre building including exercise, craft, dancing, bowls, yoga and digital training - to name just a few. We work with high-quality third-party providers, like Bluebell and Boo, to have a timetable which caters for our clients’ tastes. It is so important for everyone, not just those aged 50+, to fight isolation and enrich their lives by continuously learning new things by attending such classes and meeting new people.
“We would encourage anyone interested in meditation to come along to give it a go - particularly as the first session is free of charge to new attendees.
This class is open to anyone, not just the Age Concern target audience of 50+. If you want to find out more ring 01384 390065.
A registered charity, Age Concern relies on local fundraising events, donations and activities held at the centre to raise funds to continue with its invaluable work.
The charity provides practical support for over-50s by giving individuals the opportunity to enjoy life to the full by socialising more, getting out and about, meeting new people, being more active and staying healthy.
