Speedwatch carried out in Stourbridge after concerns over speeding motorists
West Midlands Police's neighbourhood officers have been checking the speed of motorists in Stourbridge after listening to residents' concerns.
The Stourbridge neighbourhood policing team joined volunteers from the Community Speedwatch scheme on Ham Lane, Pedmore and High Park Avenue, Wollaston to monitor the speed of vehicles.

A total of 14 drivers were found to be speeding on High Park Avenue, whilst no tickets were issued on Ham Lane.
Those who were found to be breaking the speed limit will be issued with a warning letter in the coming days.
Sergeant Imran Mohammed from the Stourbridge team said: “We are aware of residents’ concerns about road safety which is why we regularly conduct speed operations. These locations were specifically raised to us at a previous community meeting.
“We won’t tolerate such blatant disregard for the rules of the road and we’ll continue to run road safety initiatives to put the brakes on speeding and dangerous drivers.
Community Speedwatch is a national initiative where members of local communities, working with neighbourhood officers, record details of speeding vehicles using detection devices.
