Dale Harvey has been touring the country for more than three years with his YouTube channel The Great British Pub Crawl

Since March 16, 2022, Dale has been visiting and talking about pubs, trying local brews and championing the causes of pubs in all forms, sometimes on his own and sometimes with his wife Holly.

The 44-year-old was in and around Stourbridge on Friday as part of a two-day trip to the region, which included a pub crawl around Bewdley on Saturday, and said he had found a lot of good pubs on previous visits to the Black Country.

He said: "The Bathams pubs always stand out, such as the Vine in Brierley Hill, as does the Queen's Head in Wordsley, and I find that all the Black Country Ales pubs and Bathams pubs are all amazing.

"There's another one in Wednesfield called the Vine which is another belter run by great people and there's so many great pubs in the Black Country run by great people and I think there's only about 25 that I haven't been to.

"What I look for in a good pub is whether it has a good beer offering or something different as I'm a beer ticker and like to tick off different beers, so if the pub has a rotating cask range, then that's going to be a priority for me."

Dale said his visit to Stourbridge was being organised for him by members of a local CAMRA branch, starting at the Foley Arms in Pedmore and featuring other pubs like the Hare and Hounds in Wollescote, plus plenty of town centre pubs.
