Mother and daughter celebrate as their popular Dudley pub once threatened by supermarket plan reopens after revamp
A popular Black Country pub which was once under threat from a plan to turn it into a supermarket has reopened after a major revamp.
The Seven Stars in Sedgley reopened yesterday (Wednesday) after closing three weeks for a revamp.
The pub in Gospel End Road has been relaunched under Marston's Two Door brand, and now has a separate restaurant as well as more seats in the bar and bigger screens for watching live football.

The ribbon was cut by Sedgley community hero Goff Rowe, who runs a men's friendship group at the pub, and also cooks special meals for the elderly residents of Jack Newell Court in Coseley.
He said the pub had given him much support in his voluntary work.
"It's a proper community local, and Laurie and Clare are fantastic, they support me in whichever way they can."
