'We want to make a strong stand' - Dudley councillor issues rallying cry for volunteers to join speed patrol

Volunteers are being sought to work with police by carrying out vehicle speed checks in two Black Country villages.

Police are looking for volunteers to help with community speed checks in Sedgley and Gornal.,

Councillor Damian Corfield said: "There are various areas known for speeding vehicles in Sedgley and Gornal and we want to make a strong stance against it."

He said full training would be given at Dudley’s Burton Road police and fire station, with sessions at 6pm on July 21 and 22, and also on July 29 and 30th.
