A woman has been charged with perverting the course of justice after a 64-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run.

The hit and run occurred in the Woodsetton area of Dudley on January 26, 2023, killing Andrew Massey and seriously injuring his 61-year-old wife.

Emma Whitehouse, of Poplar Green in Dudley, has now been charged with perverting the course of justice.

The 33-year-old has been bailed to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 31.

Disqualified driver Grant Meredith-Trafford, of Crescent Avenue in Brierley Hill, was sentenced in April to 15 years in prison for the fatal crash.

The 31-year-old, who was driving while uninsured and without a licence, lost control of the Subaru Impreza he was driving on Tipton Road, Woodsetton.
