Car crashes into front garden of Netherton home - emergency services called to scene

A car ended up in the front yard of a house after being involved in a collision in Netherton.

Emergency services were called to reports of two cars colliding at the junction with Saltwells Road, near the turning for Golden Hillock Road, on Wednesday morning, with one ending up smashing through several walls and fences and coming to rest on its side near a house.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that one man was treated for non-serious injuries at the scene, but did not wish to go to the hospital.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Saltwells Road and Cradley Road in Netherton just after 11am and sent an ambulance to the scene.

"On arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision.

"A man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious, but did not wish to go to hospital so was discharged at the scene."

West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service were also on scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to Cradley Road at the junction of Golden Hillock Road at around 10.50am this morning after two cars collided and one hit a wall.

"A man was treated at the scene by paramedics."

A spokesman for the fire service said: "Shortly after 10.45am on Wednesday, we responded to Cradley Road.

"A fire engine from Brierley Hill responded, arriving to find a collision between two vehicles.

"The wall and fence in a nearby garden was also affected.

"Firefighters made the scene safe and left the incident at 12.08pm, with West Midlands Police in attendance."
