'Keep windows and doors closed': Fire crews rush to Kingswinford blaze as residents warned to 'avoid the area'

Seven fire crews have responded to a fire in Kingswinford.

West Midlands Fire Service has warned residents near Oak Lane, Kingswinford, to "keep windows and doors closed" while they deal with a fire in the area. 

The fire service has reported that seven vehicles were sent in response to the incident at around 7.40am on Thursday (January 29) and has warned people to "avoid the area" where possible.

A fire service spokesperson said: "We have seven crews in attendance at Oak Lane, Kingswinford, where they have responded to a fire.

"Please avoid the area where possible, please close doors and windows."

Emergency services have been approached for more information.
