Woman dead after falling from multi-storey car park in Halesowen

A woman has died after falling from a multi-storey car park at a shopping centre in Halesowen.

A police incident was reported at the Cornbow Centre in Halesowen on Thursday, February 26 afternoon.

Buses from the nearby Halesowen Bus Station were forced to divert away from the area as police cordoned off the area where the woman was found.

Paramedics pronounced her dead when they arrived on the scene. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: "We were called to reports a woman had fallen from a car park at the Cornbow Centre in Halesowen at around 12.30pm today (Thu).

"Despite the efforts of paramedics she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and an area around the scene has been cordoned off as enquiries continue."

A statement from West Midlands Ambulance Service read: "We were called to reports of a patient who had fallen from height at The Cornbow Centre at 12.26pm.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with a Critical Care Paramedic attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman. Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."
