Jack and the Beanstalk panto heading to Halesowen Town Hall
A new Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime is heading to a town centre in Dudley later this month.
Startime Variety, a performing arts and entertainment group based in the Black Country, will be taking their production of the popular fairy-tale to Halesowen Town Hall between Thursday, January 29 and Sunday, February 1.
Members of the cast donned their outfits and took to the town centre to promote their upcoming show, with tickets now on sale on the Startime Variety website.
Startime Variety provide affordable, family-friendly live entertainment for the community, and support local charities by donating the profits from their shows each year, having put on pantos in Halesowen for 60 years.
Chairwoman Laura Wall, who will also be playing the role of Jennifer Cottontail in the production, spoke about what people could expect from the production and how special it was to put on a show every year.
She said: "It's the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, but it does have a bit of a twist as it's set in a milkshake bar, so it's a fun piece written and produced by Holly Mills and Lisa Whitehouse.

"We've been going for 60 years and we always have quite a large cast for these shows, with younger members from the age of 10 right up to the age of 70 involved.
"It's basically a fun story that everyone can involved with and is traditional family fun where you're going to the panto, but with a little twist to go with it."
Tickets for the Thursday show are priced at £12, while Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets will set you back £14.
The show times are: 7.15pm on Thursday and Friday, 12.15pm (Matinee) and 5.15pm on Saturday, and 2.15pm (Matinee) on Sunday.
