Watch: B&Q opens new store in the heart of Brierley Hill - with the first 100 customers getting a free gift

Shoppers were greeted with a live band as they visited the brand-new B&Q store.

B&Q has officially opened their new store in the Merry Hill shopping centre, in Brierley Hill, Dudley.

The new store opening was teased on August 27, with store bosses organising a fun community day to welcome eager shoppers to their new building.

Now, the first 100 customers have been served as they stroll around the new 23,000 square foot store, surrounded by friendly smiles and live music. 

Speaking at the opening, Steven Ritchie, unit manager at the new store, said: "We're thrilled to be opening the doors on our brand-new B&Q store in Merry Hill.
