MP partners with children's charity to help gather gift donations for new parents
Mike Wood MP has partnered with Brierley Hill Babybank to collect donations for the Black Country charity at his constituency office.
The Conservative MP for Kingswinford & South Staffordshire will be collecting donations for Brierley Hill Baby Bank, ahead of his shift at the charity during his annual ‘volunteers week’ this October.
His ‘Brierley Hill Baby Bank’ collection will be open until 5pm on Friday 26th September, and donations will be accepted during office hours (10am – 4.30pm) every working day at The Office of Mike Wood MP, The Cottage, High Street, Wombourne, South Staffordshire, WV5 9DN.

Mike Wood MP said: “Brierley Hill Babybank does incredible work in and around Kingswinford – helping more than 4,000 local families since 2019 – but they really need more donations to help new parents and children.”
Maz Page, Founder and Project Manager of Brierley Hill Baby Bank said: “Mike has volunteered with us lots of times before, so it’s really positive that he has chosen to support us in such a meaningful way – and any donations that people feel they are able to give will really make a difference to local parents and their new babies.
"We’re already looking forward to welcoming Mike back to Brierley Hill Babybank for another voluntary shift in October.”
To make sure that all donations meet the needs of local families, the partnership have requested that donations are limited to new and unopened toiletries and new or pre-loved baby clothing in a very good and clean condition, from premature up to aged 18-24 months.
